What are the first three stages of the Eukaryotic cell cycle known as? Interphase.
What is the cell cycle? a series of events during which a cell grows, prepares for division, and then divides to form 2 daughter cells.
How is cytokinesis in animal cells started? WIth the formation of the cleavage furrow, a depression or pinching of the plasma membrane.
What are the main checkpoints of the cell cycle? G1, G2, and Mitosis checkpoint.
How does a cell stay alive? By allowing food, water and oxygen to enter through its membrane.
What is chemiosmosis? A process within the ETC; it drives the production of ATP.
What happens during chemiosmosis? Proteins are moved across the inner mitochondrial membrane.
What do light dependent reactions use? Light energy and water.
How are electrons re energized? in PSI
Do autotrophs require food? No.
Do heterotrophs require food? Yes.
What is an example of a autotrph? Plants
What is an example of a heterotroph? Animals.
