2 mold the impression of an organism in a rock

8 naturalist a person who studies plants and animals by observing them
9 variation a slight difference of an inherited trait among individual members of a species

11 adaptation an inherited trait that increases an organisms chance of surviving and reproducing in a particular environment
12 camouflage an adaptation that enables a species to blend in with its environment
13 mimicry an adaptation that one species looks like another species
14 selective breeding the selection and breeding of organisms for desired traits
15 comparative anatomy the studies of similarities and differences among structures of living species
16 homologous structure body parts of an organism that are similar in structure and position but different in function
17 Analogous structure body parts that preform a similar function but different in structure
18 vestigial structure body part that has lost its original function through evoloution
19 embryology the science of the development of embryos from fertilization to birth
