crystallization

QuestionAnswer
fractional crystallization process in which defferent minerals crystalize from magma at different temperatures, removing elements from magma.
mafic dark colored igneous rocks that are rich in iron and magnesium.
ultramafic igneous rocks with low silica content and very high levels of magnesium.
porphyritic rocks texture chracterized by large well-formed crystals.
kimberlites rare, ultramafic rock that can contain dimands and other minerals formed only under very high pressures.
pegmatites vien deposites of extremly large minarals that con rare ores such as lithium and berlyllium.
partial melting process in which different minarals melt into magma at diffrent temperatures, chanching its composition.
crystal solid in which atoms are arranged in repeating patterns
mineral natural occuring, inorganic solid with a specific chemical composition.
