| nephron | small filtering strucure in the kidneys that removes waste from blood and produces urine |

| synapse | the junction where one neuron ca transfer an impulse to another neron. |

| brain | the part of the center nervous system that is loceted in the skull |
| spinal cord | thick column of nervous tissue that links the brain to most of the nervous that branch out througth the body |
