Types of Characters

TermDefinition
Protagonist Revolves around them, main character/hero, and identify strongly with this character.
Antagonist Cause of conflict, have to be a person, and a villain.
minor characters less important, help us learn more about events or the main characters.
character traits Personality traits that a character shows, Example: Brave, Eager, Trusting, Evil, Loving, and Shy.
round character Well-developed with many characters.
flat character Not well-developed have a few character traits, usually minor characters.
dynamic character Encounters conflict and who changes. The changes are usually in personality or attitude.
static Does not change during the story, consistent from beginning to end.
