goggles Used whenever there is the risk of eye injury
graduated cylinder instrument used to measure volume of a liquid
hand lens (magnifying glass) Magnifies or enlarges small objects so they are easier to see

scientific theory A well-tested explanation for a wide range of observations or experimental results.
scientist someone who uses science to explain things in the natural world
