Water cycle The continuous movement of water within the earth and atmosphere
Evaporate The process that changes liquid water to gaseous (water vapor)
Condensation The process where the water vapor becomes liquid
runoff Precipitation that does not soak into the soil but instead it moves in the Earths surface toward streams

Cirrus A thin white cloud usually of a tiny ice crystals formed at altitudes about 20,000 to 40,000 feet
Stratus A low cloud form extending over a large area at altitudes of usually 2000 7000 feet
Nimbus A large gray cloud that brings rain and snow
Cumulus Detached, individual, cauliflower shape-clouds usually spotted in fair weather condition
Air Mass A large body of air with generally uniform temperature and humidity
Weather The state of the air and atmosphere at a particular time and place
Climate A long-term pattern of weather particular area
Forecast Predict or estimate a future event or trend
Temperature The measure of hotness or coldness expressed in terms of any of several scales, including Fahrenheit and Celsius

Tornado A violently rotating column of air touching the ground ,usually attached to the base of thunderstorm
Thunderstorm A rain-bearing cloud that also produces at lighting
Hurricane A tropical storm with winds that have reached a constant speed of 74 mph or more
Flood An overflow of water onto normally dry land
Winter Storms When there is heavy rain and the temp, is low enough that the rain turns to ice or forms as sleet or snow
Cumulonimbus Clouds Menacing looking muti-level clouds, extending high in the sky into towers or plumes.
