TermDefinition
Hypothesis A hypothesis is a prediction of what will happen. It is a specific answer to the question or problem based on your background research and knowledge.
Experimental Design Experimental design means planning a set of procedures to investigate a relationship between variables.
Control Group Control Group - the standard to which comparisons are made in an experiment.
Experimental Group Experimental Group - a group of subjects who are exposed to the variable under study
Controlled Variable Controlled variable: Factors that are kept the same to make sure the results are accurate.
Dilution Adding water to a substance to lower its extreme effects.
