| bacteria | one-celled organism that has DNA |
| balanced equation | a chemical equation in which the number of each type of atom appears on both sides |
| base | substance formed from hydroxide ions in the water |
| bias | anything that sways an experiment's or study's results in a way that makes the inaccurate |
