Matter
| Term | Definition |

| Matter | Anything that has mass and takes up space |
| Water Cycle | the cycle of water, the order is evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, and runoff |
| Evaporation | a liquid changes from its liquid state to a gaseous state |
| Condensation | gas is changed into a liquid. The water vapor cools down |
| Precipitation | Small droplets of water in clouds from larger droplets |
| Runoff | Precipitation that did not get absorbed into the soil or did not evaporate, and therefore, made its way from the ground surface into places that water collects |
| Collection | The fallen precipitation is then collected in bodies of water |
| Transpiration | Evaporation through a plant's leaves |
| Qualitative | `What something looks like |
| Quantitative | Numbers, measurments |
| Solid | When molecules are tight together, has its own shape |
| Liquid | When molecules are moving around a little, can shape anything the liquid is inside |
| Gas | When molecules are fast an have a lot of space between them |
| Chemical Change | A substance becomes a whole new substance |
| Physical Change | An object looks different but the molecules don"t change |
| Humidity | The amount of water vapor in the air |
| Water vapor | Water in the form of a gas |
| Mixture | Two substances mixed together but do not make a new substance |
