| Small intestine | The organ that food enters when leaving the stomach, where most of the nutrients from the food are absorbed into the bloodstream. |
| Chemical digestion | The process of breaking down large food molecules into nutrients by using enzymes and acids. |
| Stomach | The organ that breaks that food down into a liquid using muscles and enzymes. |
