Tree growth

Abscisic Acid -growth inhibitor-maintians DORMANCY in bugs
Parenchyma cells (cell produced during growth) -responsible for storage and photosymthesis- make up majority of cells in plants
Sclerrenchyma(cell produced during growth) -short lived cells-thick walls--supports plant
Collenchyma(cell produced during growth) -supports growing areas
Epigeous Germination (stage of Growth) -above ground-cotyledons(seed leaves)
Hypogeous Germination (stage of growth -below ground-cotyledons(seed leaves) remain in the earth
Seedling Stage -system begining to devolop (trunk,roots,branch and leaf)
Primary Growth (length) woody stem growth pattern category -increase in heigh-increase in depth at roots
Secondary Growth (width) woody stem growth pattern category -become meristematic in vascular cambrium layer of cells that covers tree from branh tips to root tips
Apical Meristems (ends of trees) initates growth -layer of cells covered by terminal and lateral bud scales-Bud scales will become active-cabable of cell division(mitosis)
indication that primary growth has ceased for the year Budset (by the end of June)
Epidermis (bark) outer edge of stem
Ground tissue comopund of cortex,ith and pith rays
Procambium develop into cambium-for conduction
