neap tide | A tide with the least difference between high and low tide that occurs when the sun and moon pull at right angles to each other. |
spring tide | a tide with the greatest difference between high and low tide that occurs when the sun and the moon are aligned with Earth at the new moon and the full moon |

tides | rise and fall of ocean water that occurs approximately every 12.5 hours |
eclipse | when an object in space comes between the sun and a third object, casting a shadow on the third object. Types: solar and lunar |
corona | the outermost layer of the sun's atmosphere; only visible during a total solar eclipse |
near side | only side of the moon visible to us because the moon is tidally locked to Earth and rotates and revolves at the same rate |
far side | side of the moon never visible to us on Earth because the moon is tidally locked to Earth and rotates at the same rate as it revolves |
