greenhouse effect the trapping of heat in the atmosphere causing Earth’s temperature to rise.
climate The average or typical weather conditions in a region of the world.
opaque matter through which light cannot travel
orbit the path that an object takes in space when it goes around a star, a planet, or a moon.
constellation is a group of visible stars that form a pattern when viewed from Earth
waxing When the Moon appears to be getting bigger
waning When it looks like it's getting smaller
