What are the five functions of the spleen? Defence, tissue repair, Hematopoiesis, Red blood cell destruction and platelet destruction, blood reservoir.
Gastrin stimulates secretion of gastric juice rich in pepsin and hydrochloric acid.
Intestinal Phase As food moves into the duodenum, the presence of fats, carbohydrates, and acid stimulates hormonal and nervous reflexes that inhibits stomach activity.
What is a sign of dehydration? Turgor, loss of skin resiliency and pressure.
Buffer is a substance that prevents marked changes in pH of a solution when an acid or base is added to it.
