What are some good reasons to grow your own food? To protect yourself from harmful chemicals found in most grocery store produce. To save money on your grocery bill. So you can eat more nutritious and delicious ripe fruits and vegetables.
Which side of the garden should you plant tall-growing plants? On the north or west side
Name some tips for watering your garden. Use a Pea-Ver-Comp mix to prevent your plants from drowning. In the hot summer months check the soil daily to make sure it's very moist. Thoroughly soak the soil each time you water the plants, aiming the water toward the roots and away from the leaves. Water in the early morning or late evening.
Why is pruning important? It allows more sunlight and airflow and enables the plant to put all its energy into producing the flowers and fruit.
What are some solutions for getting rid of pest in your garden? Prepare the appropriate mixtures to spray on the leaves of your plants, cover your plants with garden fabric, clean your gardening tools and containers, always use fresh soil, allow plenty of space between your plants, check your plants often and carefully to treat problems immediately.
Name a solution for getting rid of diseases on your plants. Apple cider vinegar and water.
