System A group of parts that work together
Earth 1 of the 8 planets that orbits the sun, the 3rd planet from the sun, only planet that supports life
Astronomy The study of everything in the universe, which has large distances, big sizes, long periods of time, and many things (stars, planets, galaxies, comets, and black holes)
Gravity A force that pulls all objects toward each other
Universe All of the contents of space including matter, energy, and galaxies
Galaxy One of the very large groups of stars and other matter in the universe
Solar System A group of planets and other objects that move around a central star
Planet Biggest after Sun and orbit it. Have an atmosphere.
Moon Object that orbits Earth
Star Hot ball of gas that gives off energy. Needed for life.
