Science Vocabulary, Lesson 3

TermDefinition
Information Technology Computer and telecommunication hardware and software that store, transmit, receive, and manipulate information.
Software Programs that encode, decode, and interpret information.
Noise Random signals from the environment that can alter the output of the signal.
Bandwidth The amount of information that can be transmitted in bits per a second.
Hardware The physical components of the technology.
