Tides daily changes in the level of the ocean water
tidal force the difference in gravitational force between the sun, moon, and Earth
high tide the water level is higher than average sea level
low tide the water level is lower than average sea level
tidal range the difference between levels of ocean water at high tide and low tide
spring tides tides with the largest tidal range, occur when the sun, moon and Earth form a straight line
neap tides tides with the smallest daily tidal range, occur when the sun, Earth and moon form a 90 degree angle
