Cellular Respiration, The process in which oxygen and glucose undergo a complex series of chemical reactions inside cells, releasing energy.
Fermentation, The process by which cells release energy by breaking down food molecules without using oxygen
Cellular Respiration Chemical Equation, C6H12O2 + 6O2 ------> 6CO2 + 6H20 + Energy
Photosynthetic Equation, Light energy + 6H20 + 6CO2 --> C6H12O6 + 6O2
Location of Photosynthesis, in the chloroplasts of cells
Reactants (raw materials) of Photosynthesis, carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight
Products of Photosynthesis, glucose and oxygen
Chlorophyll, A green photosynthetic pigment found in the chloroplasts of plants, algae, and some bacteria.
Autotroph, An organism that is able to capture energy from sunlight or chemicals and use it to produce its own food.
Heterotroph, An organisms that cannot make its own food and gets food by consuming other living things.
Photosynthesis ,process by which plants and some other autotrophs capture and use light energy to make food from carbon dioxide and water.
