Saffir-Simpson Scale A sysyem for classifying the intensity of a hurricane based on its wind speed
Force A push or pull exerted on an object
Severity Extent of damage or loss from a natural hazard event
Intensity Type of damage from a natural hazard event
Precursor An event that occurs before a natural hazard that can help in predicting that the natural hazard will occur
Divergent boundrt When two tectonic plates move away from eachother
Convergent boundry When two tectonic plates move into and over eachother
Transform boundry When two tectonic plates rub against eachother
