| Cone of Uncertainty | The visual picture of a hurricane forecast on a map |
| Floodplain | An area of low-lying ground next to a river, formed mainly of river sediments |
| Convergent | Where two tectonic plates crash into one another, either one going under the other, or colliding into one another |
