How are mitosis and meiosis different from each other? In mitosis, the daughter cells are identical to the mother cell and in meiosis, the daughter cells are not.
Define heterozygous A genotype consisting of one dominant and one recessive allele (for example: Dd)
Define homozygous A genotype consisting of two dominant or two recessive alleles (for example: dd or DD)
If having dimples is dominant (D) then what genotype must a child who does not have dimples bet? dd
In guinea pigs, brown fur (B) is dominant over white fur (b). Design a Punnett square to demonstrate the possible outcome of two heterozygous guinea pigs. What percentage of the offspring will have brown fur? 75%

Define inherited traits A trait an organism is born with (example: hair texture, hair color, eye color, ear shape)

What is the purpose of meiosis? Meiosis creates new 4 cells for reproduction that have half the amount of DNA as the parent cell.
