Water Cycle

| weather | always changing, what the atmosphere is like at that time and place |
| climate | the average weather pattern over a long period of time |
| clouds | water vapor that has condensed into water droplets around dust in the air |
| condensation | water vapor changing back to a liquid |
| evaporation | liquid water changing into water vapor |
| transpiration | plants changing liquid water into water vapor |
| humidity | the amount of water vapor in the air |
| precipitation | rain, snow, sleet, or hail that is falling from the clouds |
| groundwater or aquifer | a collection of water under the ground |
| runoff | water that is running across the land to feed a larger body of water |
| fog | a cloud that forms near the ground |
| dew | condensation that has formed on plants or other surfaces when the air cools down |
| accumulation | when water collects, for example in an ocean, pond, river, or puddle |
| water cycle | the many processes that keep water moving throughout the earth in different forms |
