Axis An imaginary line the extends through the Earth north pole and out the south pole; tilted at 23.5.
Rotation to spin on an axis
Revolution Movement in an elliptical path around a center
Season Cycle The cycle of summer, fall winter, and spring due to variation in intensity of the sun and length of day caused by the tilt of the earth.
Day/Night Cycle The cycle of daytime and night time caused by the rotation of the earth about its axis
Equator An imaginary line drawn halfway between the north and the south pole divides the northern and southern hemisphere.
Hemisphere Half of a sphere; the earth is typically divided into the northern and southern hemisphere.
