Why were ratios important in Mendel's work? They showed the relationship between two different things
What was the one thing Gregor Mendel relized could explain the results of of his experiments? Each trait had two sets of instructions, one from each parent
What did Mendel discover about recessive traits? Recessive traits never appear in the second generation

What is the probability of getting "heads" in a coin toss? 1/2
What are two ways that plants can cross-pollinate? Pollen can be carried by insects or by the wind
What three characteristics did Mendel study in pea plants? seed shapes, plant height & flower color
What trait appears in the first generation? the dominant trait
What trait appears in the second generation? the recessive trait
