| Floodplain | An area of flat land adjacent to a stream that expected to flood. |
| Stage of Stream | Height of water above the stream bed. |
| Stream Type: Braided | Steams that intertwine/braid with each other |
| Stream Type: Straight | A stream that goes relatively straight and does not intertwine with other streams |
| Stream Type: Meandering | A very curving and twisting stream, that does not intertwine with other streams. |
