What is a Carbohydrate? A carbohydrate is any of a large group of organic compounds and can be broken down to release energy for the body.
What is Chyme? A thick, creamy liquid that food turns into after it has been through the stomach.
What is Mucus? A thick liquid that protects the stomach from digesting itself.
What are Fats? A natural oily or greasy substance occurring in animal bodies.
What are Gastric Juices? A mixture of pepsin and HCL.
What is Vomiting? Vomiting is to eject matter from the stomach through the mouth.
What are 3 layers of muscles for? The bottom one runs at an angle, the second one runs circular and the third one runs from end to end.
What is Heartburn? When gastric juice backs up in the lower esophogaus.
What is an Ulcer? An open sore caused by a break in the skin or mucous membrane that fails to heal.
