| Research | - The pursuit of knowledge through the process of discovery. |
| Observation | - The perception and recording of data via the use of scientific instruments. |
| Inference | - The process of drawing conclusions based on evidence and reasoning. |
| Hypothesis | - An idea or proposition that can be tested by observations or experiments, about the natural world |
| Experiment | - A scientific test in which you perform a series of actions and carefully observe their effects in order to learn about something |
| Independent Variable | - A variable that stands alone and isn't changed by the other variables you are trying to measure |
| Dependent Variable | - Something that depends on other factors |
| Controlled Variable | - Any variable that's held constant in a research study |
| Control | - An element that remains unchanged or unaffected by other variables |
| Data | - A field of applied mathematics and statistics that provides useful information based on large amounts of complex data or big data |
| Conclusion | - A statement based on experimental measurements and observations |
| Analyze | - To study or determine the nature and relationship of the parts of (something) by analysis |
| Data Trends | - Describes the general direction of change of some variable |
