Identify 4 main external parts of a plant leaves, roots, stems, flowers
What is the function of leaves? to make food for the plant
What is the function of stems? to connect the leaves, branches and the roots
What is the function of roots? to take water and mineral salts from the soil
What is the function of flowers? to reproduce by developing fruits and seeds
What are stomata? tiny openings on a leaf that allow water and air to pass in and out
What is pollen? powder formed in the male parts of the flower which contains male gamates
What is a specimen? a sample for purposes of study
What are mineral salts? nutrients found in the soil for plant growth
