sound and light
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| frequency | THe number of vibrations per second of a sound |
| pitch | how high or low a sound is |
| vibration | back and forth movement of matter |
| Volume | The loudness of a sound |
| Sound | Travel through mediums such as solids, liquids and gases in transfers waves. These waves have molecules which vibrate to continue a sound until it reaches your eardrum |
| Transparent | Letting all light pass through |
| Translucent | Letting some light pass through |
| Opaque | Does not let pass through |
| Reflection | The bouncing of light off of surfaces |
| Refraction | The bending of light as it moves from one material to another. |
| Concave Lens | Thicker at the edges than at the center. Spreads light waves apart. |
| Convex Lens | Thicker at the center than at the edges. Bends light waves to make them come together. |
| Electromagnetic Spetrum | The spectrum that makes up the frequence range of all light. Waves from least frequency to greatest: radio waves, microwaves, infrared waves, ultraviolet waves, X-Rays |
