| Water Cycle | The changes to water when it evaporates into the air, condenses into clouds, and then precipitates back down to Earth’s surface. |
| Evaporation | Physical change in matter from a liquid to a gas. Ground to clouds |
| Condensation | Physical change in matter from a gas to a liquid. Clouds to ground |
| Precipitation | Rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls from clouds in the sky. |
| Accumulation | Collection of water such as oceans, rivers, lakes, and streams. |
| Runoff | The movement of land water (rivers, lakes, and streams) to the oceans. |
| Weather | Describes the condition of the air outdoors |
| Climate | Average weather conditions of a region year after year |
