Conservation The wise use and protection of natural resources
Glaciers A large, slow moving body of moving ice that deposits minerals and carve out "U" shaped valleys
Waves Change the coast line and transport sand and make beaches
Wind Can make sand dunes and carve out arches and hoodoos
Sand dune A mound of sand deposited by wind
Landform An area of land or a land shaped found on surface of the Earth
Tsunami A giant ocean wave caused by an earthquake under the ocean
Deltas created by the deposition of sediment. They are large flat areas of land at the mouth of a river.
Sedimentary Rock Rocks made up of layers of sediment
Extinction The dying out of a species
Weather The day to day conditions of an atmosphere
Climate The general weather over time
Plate techonics The theory that Earth's crust is divided into many plates
Sun Spherical shaped star that is in the center of our solar system
Moon The Earth's natural satelite.
Waxing The moon looks like it is getting bigger.
Waning The moon looks like it is getting smaller.
Craters Are formed when asteroids and comets collide with a surface.
Earth 3rd planet from the sun and the 5th largest planet.
Tides caused by the Moon's gravitational pull.
Seasons caused by the tilt of the Earth's axis.
Day and Night Caused by the Earth spinning on its axis every 24 hours.
Shadows cast by an object that blocks the sun's light.
