| Tidal Force | variation in one body's gravitational force from place to place across another body |
| Tidal Friction | strain/heating in a body undergoing variations in gravitational attraction as it orbits |
| Volcanic Plume | mixture of volcanic particles and gases produced by eruptions |
| Plasma Torus | ringed-shaped cloud of superheated gas around a planet where the atoms are ionized |
| Ionization | when an atom or molecule has lost one or more of its electrons |
| Europa | has an ocean covered by bright, cracked ice |
