Where is your pyloric sphincter located? bottom of stomach
Name the three parts of the small intestine (in order) Duodenum, jejunum, ileum
What is the purpose of the villi in your small intestine? Increase surface area of intestines, exposing more cells to nutrients
What are some functions of the liver? Makes bile, processes nutrients, stores vitamins & minerals & glycogen
Name the three parts of the large intestine (in order) Cecum, colon, rectum
What is the role of the appendix? Provides a safe environment for friendly bacteria to hide when your body gets an illness
What path does urine take (from production to excretion)? Produced in kidneys→ureters→bladder→bathroom
