| Earthquake | shaking of Earth's crust caused by rock slabs moving against each other deep below the Earth's crust |
| Erosion | the movement of weathered materials by water, wind, or ice |
| Force | a push or a pull |
| Glacier | a large body of moving ice that stays frozen all year |
| Landform | a natural feature on Earth's surface such as a mountain or valley |
| Landslide | when earth (dirt, mud, grass, trees, etc) and rocks quickly slide down the side of a mountain or steep slope |
| Deposition | the process in which materials eroded by water, wind, or ice are dropped in a new place |
| Rocks | natural resource that is a collection of various minerals; the hard, solid material that the surface of the Earth is made of |
| Sediment | a naturally occurring material that is broken down by processes of weathering and erosion, and is then transported by wind, water, or ice, and/or by the fore of gravity acting on the particles |
| Valley | area of low land between hills or mountains |
| Volcanic Eruption | when lava, ash, and gases suddenly come out from a volcanic vent |
| Weathering | wear away or change the appearance or texture of (something) by long exposure to wind, water, ice, and gravity |
| Abrasive | to rub against something very hard |
| Beach | sandy area where the water of the ocean or lakes meet the earth |
| Clay | small sediments held together by moisture, usually found underground |
| Crust | the top layer of the Earth |
| Expand | to spread out |
| Fault | a crack in the ground caused by an earthquake |
