Chemical Symbol The letters in a chemical formula, an abbreviation for a element. Ex: H,O NA, CL
Chemical Formula Symbols that show the elements and the ratio of the atoms in a molecule or compound
Chemical Equation An easy way to show a chemical reaction by using symbols and an arrow
Product A substance formed as a result of a chemical reaction
Reactant A substance that enters into a chemical reaction
Synthesis reaction Atoms combining in a reaction
Decomposing reaction Atoms separating in a reaction
Replacement reaction Atoms switching places in a reaction
