If doctor changes therapy MAO inhibitor should be discontinued for 2 weeks before new therapy begins. Avoid certain foods containing tyramine (aged cheeses, certain wines and yeast products).

Should not be taken if patient is taking ephedrine,amphetamine,methylphenidate, levodopa, or meperidine
