| What is justice? | The concept of treating everyone in a fair manner. |
| What is distributive justice? | The concept of allocation of benefits and burdens in society. |
| What is rationing? | A conscious policy of equitably distributing needed resources that are in limited supply. |
| Macroallocation | The amount and distribution of resources within an entire society. |
| Microallocation | Resource constraints at the level of an individual provider or institution. |
| Ethical Dilemma | Situations where a provider is forced to make a decision that violates one of the principles of ethics. |
