QuestionAnswer
Atmosphere The whole layer of air that surrounds Earth.
Altitude The distance above sea level.
Density The amount of mass in a given valume of a subject.
Cycle Processes that repeat over and over again.
Radiation Energy that travels across a distance in the form of certain types of waves.
Conduction The transfer of heat energy from one substance to another by derect contact.
Convection The transfer of energy from place to place by the motion of gas or liguid.
Ultraviolent Radiation Causes sun burn and other injuries, has more energy than visible light.
Infared Radiation Has less energy than visible light.
Ozone a layer in the Atmosphere
Greenhouse Effect The gasses absorb and imit infared radiation.
Greenhouse Gasses Carbon Dioxcide, Methane, Water Vapor, Nitrous Oxcide, and others.
Air Pollution Smoke and other harmful materials that are added to the air.
Particulate Tiny particles or droplets that are mixed in with the air.
Fossil Fuels Fuels of fossil fuels such as oil, gasoline, and coal.
Smog The combination of smoke and smog.
