| Riff | Memorable part of a song. |
| Acapella | Singing without instruments in the background. |
| Texture | How many different instruments or sounds are in a song.(Think of it like different rows for each instrument in autotuned. |
| Melody | The most predominant park of a song (typically the vocals) |
| Harmony | Supports the Melody(typically Instruments) |
| Spiritual | Songs about religion. |
| 12 bar blues | Common chord progression in blues Music. |
| Chord | 3 or more notes played at once. |
| Narrative | Narrates a story. |
| Jazz | The genre blues music comes from. |
| pitch | how high or low a note is |
| Minor key | Song using the Minor scale |
| Major key | Song using the major scale |
| Homophonic | One line of melody |
| Bass | Low voice singer |
| Improvisation | Making up something on the spot |
