Unit 6 - Bloody 'ell

Anterior Vena Cava Large vein attached to anterior side of heart
Left Atrium Thin-walled cranial chamber on left side. Receives four pulmonary veins.
Left Ventricle Side of heart that pumps blood to general body (not head)
Brachial Vein Takes blood to arm
Aortic Arch Large wide vessel (aorta) from left ventricle. Curving of aorta, descends behind heart caudally.
Right Atrium Thin-walled cranial chamber on right side. Formed by union of vena cavae.
Brachiocephalic Vein The vein that takes blood to the arm
Femoral Artery Takes blood from the lower aorta to the leg
Pulmonary Artery Takes blood to the lungs
Right Ventrical pumps blood to the pulmonary (respiratory) circulation
Jugular Vein Takes blood through the neck to head
Carotenoid Arteries moves blood throughout the head and brain
