TermDefinition
Model A representation of an idea, an object, a process or system that is used to describe phenomena that cannot be experienced directly.
Evidence Something that gives proof or a reason to believe. Examples can be tables, graphs, maps
Processes A series of actions used to produce something or reach a goal
Data Facts, figures, or other pieces of information that can be used to learn about something. Examples include statistical info, drawings, photographs, models and graphs.
Scale A drawing or model that has been reduced or enlarged from its original size
Metric System A system of weights and measures that is based on the number ten.
Inference A conclusion derived from inferring or assuming something based on an observation
Observation The act or an instance of perceiving the environment through one of the five senses (hear, see, touch, smell, taste)
Science A system of studying, testing, and experimenting on things in nature. Science is a search for general laws about how the world works.
