| fair test | one variable changes and other variables stay the same |
| replicate | to repeat an experiment |
| evidence | Facts |
| conclusion | A summary of what happened in the experiment. Answers the testable question and explains if the hypothesis was correct or incorrect |
| model | An object or idea that represents something else. |
| phenomena | an event that is not created by humans |
| data | Evidence from experiments |
| scientific method | the organized process of answering questions and gathering facts through testing and experimenting |
| testable question | a question that can be answered by an experiment |
| hypothesis | a possible answer to a testable question (prediction) |
| procedure | a set of step-by-step instructions for how to perform a test |
| investigation | a careful way of looking for answers to a question |
| observation | using our senses to carefully notice what is happening |
| science tool | an object used to measure objects or gather information |
| science | sscprocess of learning about the natural world through observation and experimentation |
