Constitution a document whose primary purpose is to establish a government and define its power
Bill of Rights the first 10 amendments to the Constitution
Common Law a body of law developed through the courts

Stare Decisis it stands decided; precedent
Binding Case Law case law that must be followed by lower courts
Capital Offense a criminal offense that carries a death penalty
