TermDefinition
Cyanosis a bluish discoloration of the skin resulting from poor circulation or inadequate oxygenation of the blood.
Erythema redness of the skin
Jaundice yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes caused by an accumulation of bile pigment (bilirubin) in the blood
Hypothermia abnormally low body temperature
Sebaceous Gland oil-secreting gland in the dermis that is associated with hair follicles
Melanin skin pigment
Dermis middle layer of skin
Epidermis Outer layer of skin
Hypodermis the layer of skin beneath the dermis, which serves as a storage repository for fat
Albino person with skin deficient in pigment (melanin)
Sudoriferous Gland A sweat gland located in the dermis of the skin
Hyperthermia Abnormally high body temperature
