What is Science?

TermDefinition
Observation The process of collecting data through using your senses
Experiment To work with variables to find evidence (proof)
Evidence Information that is looked at to see if it is true or false
Explanation A statement that says how or why something in nature happens.
Hypothesis A guess we can test for why something happens in nature
Model Something that represents an idea or process.
Data Information -- a collection of measurements or observations
Theory A scientific reason for why things happen
Law A scientific statement for what will happen
Argument A conversation about whether something is true or false
