| Heredity | Passing traits from parents to offspring during reproduction. |
| Camouflage | To increase their chances of survival, some organisms blend in with their surrounding environment. |
| Genetics | The study of heredity and how inherited traits are passed down from parents to offspring. |
| Reproduction | The act of making new offspring. |
