Agriculture Farming
Bioremediation The use of living organisms to detoxify and restore polluted and degraded ecosystems
Biotechnology A form of technology that uses living organisms, usually genes, to modify products, to make or modify plants and animals, or to develop other microorganisms for specific purposes.
Cloning Making a genetically identical copy of DNA or of an organism.
Ethics The moral principles governing or influencing conduct.
Genetic Modifications Making changes to the DNA sequence of an organism
Genetics Scientific study of heredity
Pharmaceuticals The chemistry of drugs and other medicinal products.
Vaccine A weakened or inactive version of a pathogen that stimulates the body's production of antibodies which can aid in destroying the pathogen
Antibiotics A chemical that kills bacteria or slows their growth without harming body cells.
Microbiology The study of microorganisms
Pathogen Disease causing organism
Environmental Factors Conditions in an environment that affect the organisms that live there
Toxic Poisonous
Respiration Conversion of energy stored in glucose molecules into energy the cells can use
