Why does hemoglobin make the blood red? It contains iron (Fe)
What does hemoglobin transport in the body? Oxygen
What is the relationship between Iron (Fe) and Oxygen (O2)? Hemoglobin contains iron and oxygen bonds to the iron.
What is the relationship between the lack of iron, glucose and fatigue? If the body doesn't have enough iron (anemic), it will not be able to carry enough oxygen. Cells will not receive enough oxygen. Reactions in cells will not take place. Glucose will not be broken down fast enough. Leads to fatigue and being tired.
